Ronald McDermid

Peacefully in hospital on Monday, January 21, 2019, Ron passed away at the age of 79. He was a lifelong resident of Silver Creek (near Buckingham), Quebec.

Son of the late Archie and Lottie McDermid, he will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Yvonne (nee Beaty). Ron was a loving father to Christine (Glen Teske) and Stephen (Julie), proud Grandpa of Emma and Cayce Teske, Heather and Holly McDermid. He will be missed by his sister Clare (Robert Lemieux), brother-in-law Robert Beaty (late Marian), and sister-in-law Joan (Jim Manner). He was predeceased by his brother Lyall (Lorraine).

The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff of the Buckingham Hospital for their excellent care and support.

A private service for Ron will be held at a later date. For those who wish to do so, donations would be appreciated to St. Thomas Anglican Church (Silver Creek, Quebec) in memory of Ron’s longtime and tireless work for his Church and community, and may be sent to: St. Thomas Anglican Church, Silver Creek, c/o R.
