Peacefully, at home, surrounded by is immediate family, on April 8th, 2025, at the age of 73 years old. He was the son of the late Simone Larocque and of the late Ulric Mercier. He was the beloved father of: Stéphanie M Varin (Rafael Klepinski), Ulric Mercier, Diane Mercier and Richard Jr. Mercier; grandfather of: Patrick Lalonde, Sarina Saunders, Angelyka Fontaine, Alexandra Fontaine, Laetycia Mercier, Tatiana Fontaine, Donne-Lee Fontaine, Melinda Fontaine, Callie-Ann Mercier and Brielle Mercier; great-grandfather to Leah Saunders; brother of: Francine (Bruce Rogers), Yves Mercier (Marcel Tremblay). He will be greatly missed by his aunt Anne-Marie Larocque; his cousin Antoinette Larocque; his nephew Paul Carrière (Josyane Bourgette) as well as many relatives and many loved friends.
A celebration of his life will be held within the immediate family’s private gathering!.
