Ivan Winfield Connelly, born October 27, 1928, at Manville, Alberta. Father Harold Ellerton Connelly. Mother Alpha Verna McConnell. Resided in the Mannville and Vermilion area until Ivan joined the R.C.A.F. in 1951. His postings included St-Jean, Québec, Bagotville, Chatham, New-Brunswick, and briefly in Shawville. On his way home after being released, he met a young lady Edith Letts, in Shawville, Québec. They were married July 3, 1957. They moved to Buckingham, Quebec, as Ivan had got a job at Maclaren-Quebec Power in Masson. After 32 years of service, Ivan retired in 1989 and remained in Buckingham until his passing.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 11 am at the St-Andrew United Church (570 Ave. de Buckingham, Gatineau, QC J8L 2H3). Family will receive condolences at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
