Alain Fournier passed away at the age of 61 on Friday, October 14th, 2022. He was an extremely artistic, friendly and generous soul. A proud and devoted son, brother, husband, uncle, great-uncle and friend, he would do anything for anyone and give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He considered everyone his friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand regardless of the task. He loved to play games, socialize and bend people’s ears with his tales. He was predeceased by his wife Debbie Fournier (Desjardins). He is survived by both parents, Rejeanne & Jean-Guy Fournier, siblings Suzanne Kavanagh (nee Fournier) (James Molloy) and Daniel Fournier (Andrea Fournier) as well as nieces & nephews: Jason Kavanagh, Kimberly Kavanagh (Jason Darkis), Kayla Kavanagh, John Fournier, Sam Molloy, Alice Fournier and grandnephew, Cedric Darkis. Of the large extended family, he still has an aunt, uncle and several cousins. He also leaves behind many friends in the Gatineau/Ottawa area and will be greatly missed. Alain would dream big! May he rest in eternal peace and be free to fly high among the stars.
With respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a public memorial service at this time. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
